In the first part of I Samuel 25 we met Nabal the poster child of being a fool. This current passage is about his wife Abigail who happens to be the opposite, a wise woman who saves the day. When David finds out that he has been dissed (disrespected) by Nabal, his pride kicks in and brings four hundred soldiers to annihilate Nabal and all his males. Abigail meets David on the road and using her faith, looks, and intelligence saves the lives of many. We need Abigails today in our world and churches.
