Life is hard, pain and suffering are everywhere, and then people die. It is hard to get your arms around why things are the way they are, and if there is a God then what is His plan? Does He love us? Then why hasn’t He stopped all the misery and injustice in the world. Our current passage deals directly with this burning issue, the greatest of all questions. In fairness, we want to begin by looking first at the world’s major answers to the question of life, the proceed to the Book of Life.
