Acts 5.1-11 seems harsh the first time it is read. A couple known as Ananias and Sapphira in the early days of the church, told what appeared to be what we might call a little white lie to the church about their generosity. As a result, the Lord took their lives for what He judged to be a capital offense. Husbands and wives are called to hold one another spiritually accountable and not as coconspirators. But what was at the core of this sin? This study reveals many interesting teaching as it relates to the couple.
