In Romans 13.1-7, we discovered God's purpose in human government. In Romans 13.8-10, Paul unfolds our duty of the second great commandment, to love our neighbor. What connects these two passage? It all has to do with our obligations as believer. We are called to pay our taxes for it is an obligation for citizens to fund their government. Likewise, it is our obligation to pay our debt of loving our neighbor. As you will see, Paul dives deep into this obligation of love.
