An issue that divides Protestantism and Catholicism is over the answer to the following question: When someone believes in Christ, are all his sins forgiven or only the past ones? The answer to this question is huge for a Christian and rarely is dealt with in Bible study or the pulpit. The short answer is yes, all of one's sins, past, present, and future are forgiven when one receives Christ. However, in his walk it is a whole different issue.
