Does the arguing over denominational differences bother you as much as it bothers me? I am talking about the non-essentials of our faith and not the core beliefs of Christianity. Though denominations had not really evolved yet, Romans 14.1-12 provides tremendous understanding on how we are to view other believers who think a little differently than we do. Then it was vegetables only and which day should the church meet. Today it is how many times should a believer be dunked during baptism? Should musical instruments be banned in worship? Or, when we take communion should we also practice foot washing? Just to name a few. Paul uses strong language in Romans 14 to set all believers straight on the subject.
